	Dove, Mourning (juvenile)	I initially thought this was a different type of dove, but it's just a baby mourning dove.

	Dove, Ring Necked	This bird does not live in my area. I suspect it is an escapee population

	Duck, Mallard	On 4-18-08 I saw a male and female mallard sitting in my little fish pond, and I live in the city, not the country!

	Heron, Green	6-21-08 This bird came into the backyard and considered going fishing in our goldfish pond. After considerable thought, it fley away again. Perhaps it's been back before or since.

	Parrot, Quaker (Escapee population)	There is a small flock of these green parrots that I've seen for several years in my neighborhood. They seem to be doing fine, even with the icy winters. I first saw four of them in my backyard near the pond.

	Vulture, Turkey	4-18-08 Rufus looked up into the sky, and I looked up to see what he saw. There was nothing but a lone buzzard, turkey vulture to be exact. Thank you, Rufus!

	Heron, Great Blue	11-24-09 Glancing out my kitchen window, I saw a Great Blue Heron standing next to my goldfish pond! As a birdwatcher, I'm excited each time I see water fowl at my pond, but I worry about my goldfish. I have mixed feelings about it. X
